How did Bangladesh get Independent?

 Bangladesh Liberation War was revolutionary independence war in South Asia during 1971 which witnesses the birth of mordern state of Bangladesh. The date,26 March is commorated as the Independence Day of Bangladesh.

What is Partition?

 Partition is basically the separation of India and Pakistan in 1947.
 
What is Two Nation Theory?
Two Nation Theory was given by Mohammad Ali  Jinnah, he urged that the greater India lived by two Nations, they should have equal rights to their motherland.

  
In 1947 with independence of India,cames the banks of partition.
Pakistan came into existence consisting of Muslim dominated areas based on Two Nation Theory which was given by Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

 How did Pakistan Consist of?

 Pakistan had two parts one part was the western part which was the West Pakistan politically quite dominant and the second part in the East which was known as East Pakistan.

 Why Bangladesh is separated from Pakista?
  
West Pakistan was inhabited by Muhajirs who spoke Urdu,Sindhi and Balochi while Bangla was spoken by people living in East Pakistan. East Pakistan did not have much say in the affairs of Pakistan and this was the root of the simmering discontent among Bangla speaking people of East Pakistan that heightened with all - Urdu being declared as the national language of Pakistan.

1970 election saw the East Pakistan National Awami League under Sheikh Mujibur Rahman emerging as the largest party with 167 seats however president Yahya Khan was not ready to transfer power to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman of East Pakistan and did not convene meeting of the national assembly. This led to strike in East Pakistan by Awami League and shops, offices,railway stations and airport were closed.In order to crush this opposition army was deployed in East Pakistani City of Dhaka and Chittagong.

On the 7th of March, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his famous 7th March Speech.


 What is operation Search light?

 On the night of 25th of March, Operation Search Light created 300000 casualties and Pakistan army   killed maximum number of students and teachers of Dhaka University. A simultaneous attack was carried arround the whole of East Pakistan. Although they killed a lot of people but they couldn't kill the spirit of East Pakistani people.



Who declared Bangladesh Independenc?

 On the night of 26 March and in the early hour of 26th March, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was arrested by Pakistani Army before arrest he declared the independence of Bangladesh through wireless.

 When did Bangladesh get independence?

 Bangladesh got independence in 26 March of 1971  by the declaration of  Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. So,26th March is also considered as our national day or Republic Day.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is our father of the Nation.
   
After 9 months of brutal civil was, that millions of people life and finally on 16th of December, Bangladesh achieved it’s victory. 16th December is our Victory Day.

 The independence day is observed all around the country with great respect to our freedom fighters and with dignity.The national flag green-red is hosted every Institutions of our country.There arranges various programmes for remembering and importance of 26th March.We celebrate indendpence day as well as Republic Day every year.
